'Hi, I'm Steve (Celtic warrior) Collins, former WBO super middleweight champion of the world. Being a professional boxer I would only use the very best to help me prepare for an up and coming fight.
I chose Freddy Roach as my boxing trainer (trainer of Manny Pacquiao, Amir Khan), and Wayne Stewart (former British, European and World Standard competitor) as my strength and conditioning trainer and nutritional adviser. Both men come second to none in their fields of expertise, and without their help I don't think I could have achieved what I did.
Wayne managed to get me into the best condition I have ever been in for a fight, and even though I would usually throw up after each workout for the first two weeks of our six to eight week preparations, it always paid off. I never lost a fight while training under Wayne. His motivational skills are so good I asked him to work my corner for me when I was fighting to help keep me mentally focused between the rounds, which he always managed to do. We trained together for five world title fights, both in Jersey and in America, and I retired still holding my WBO belt and still undefeated as a super middleweight.Thank you so much Wayne for everything you did for me mate.

'I've been training with Wayne for over 14 years and have a background in gymnastics, participating in Island Games, Southern Region and Men’s Six-Piece Gymnastic competitions from a young age.
Strength training has been a passion of mine since I was 17 years old and in 2012 I competed at Jersey’s UKBFF bodybuilding competition. Entering in the Beginner’s category, not only did I win this classification, I was also the overall winner of the Mr Channel Islands 2012. Wayne trained me for this competition, working together 6 days a week. He also structured my diet as well as a supplementation program.
A clean diet, training six days a week and constant support and motivation from Wayne allowed me to achieve and exceed at my goals. Knowing he has been there himself, his knowledge and wealth of experience was fundamental to my success. His focus is unbroken and constantly spurred me on.

‘I’ve been with Wayne for ten years training specifically on weights. I didn’t have one cockle on me to start! Since training with Wayne, my physique has completely changed from being a larger girl with curves to that of one with an athletic body.
Wayne has taught me more than I’ll ever know with regards to weight training, correct technique, muscle groups, and nutrition – every day is like a school day with Wayne! He’s also a great motivator and supports me with my goals and ambitions; he has such a ‘can-do’ attitude. ‘I started training with Wayne approximately nine years ago. Having always been active in various sports but having had four children, I decided I needed some guidance as to where to begin getting back into shape. Wayne's undying enthusiasm, his knowledge and his obvious skills in training helped me in a short space of time achieve great results. Nine years on, I still love the gym!
I now have more understanding of my nutritional needs and how they affect and impact my body (albeit I’m still working on dropping the wine!). My increased energy levels enable me to pursue my other interests in tennis and running. Injuries are much fewer from these other activities as a result of the extra muscle strength supporting my joints and ligaments thanks to my strength training with Wayne.

'I first met Wayne Stewart in 2006 when I was looking for a personal trainer to prepare me for my Kilimanjaro climb. I have trained with him ever since. Wayne has extensive knowledge and experience that is second to none. He has great motivation and enthusiasm as well as a passion for what he does which certainly rubs off on his clients! I still look forward to each training session, as I know he will challenge me to achieve more than I could possibly do on my own. At 43 I now have a physique that I wished for in my twenties!
I have suffered several injuries over the years and Wayne has always managed to work around these and he has got me back to being fully fit and achieving even higher standards. Through his continual support and dedication I managed to compete in the UKBFF Channel Islands 2012 Fitness Figure competition where I was placed second and have gone on to becoming a personal trainer myself.
